G.A.M.E Contest

~For the G.A.M.E Game Dev contest~

The contest was to make a fake screenshot of an original anime/manga fantasy/sci-fi game. I chose an anime style fantasy fighting game AU for my webcomic, TrickSong! (I've aged up the characters for this, too)

The story is pretty basic fighting game stuff. Warriors are called to the grand castle one day and learn of an evil that is engulfing the land. Only the truest and strongest of warriors will be able to save the land with an ancient magic that takes the form of a mischievious squirrel. The warriors race to find this magical creature while battling each other to find the strongest one among them, claim the creature's power and save the land.

Those strong enough are able to recieve a small amount of his strength, as shown in gameplay by the energy bar. It enables them to unleash a powerful set of attacks for a short time.

Considering I've never really worked with game interfaces before, I'm really proud of this. I'm actually working to develop this AU further, working on designs for the other characters. It's turning into a really fun side project ^^
