You Raise Me Up - part 1

You raise me up to more than I can be

"Brother! I did it!" Al cried happily as he held the teddy bear up in joy. Ed smiled as he saw how happy his brother was.

Half an hour earlier, Al had been sat at the table in their house, wondering where his brother had disappeared to. He had been gone for what seemed like hours when the front door opened. Al's head jerked in the door's direction to see Ed stood there, a grin on his face, holding a piece of paper and a basket.
"Sorry I took so long." he apologised. "Come on, follow me!" Al looked at him, puzzled, then raced after him as Ed ran off to the front lawn. He stopped a little way from the house and laid the paper on the ground.
"A transmutation circle?" Al wondered, seeing the familiar lines drawn upon it.
"Yeah." Ed replied, laying down various items from the basket onto the paper. "You're going to try some alchemy."
"But you're better at it." the younger brother said sadly. "Why don't you make something?"
"Don't be silly, you'll never get better that way." Ed said, laughing. He stepped back. "Go on. It'll work." Al stepped up to the circle and knelt down. Taking a deep breath, he placed his hands down on the paper and a familiar light eminated from the reaction. It wasn't long before the light faded and a perfectly transmuted teddy bear lay on the paper. Al's face lit up. He held the teddy up, grinning.
"Thank you, brother!" he said excitedly. "You always help me get better. I couldn't do any of this without you!"

This is part 1 of my 'You Raise Me Up' series. The idea is that I take a line or two from the song You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban (or Westlife) and draw a picture that I think would fit those lines. There will always be a short story to back the picture up, so that it makes sense why the image goes with the lyrics.

I really hope you enjoy this pic, since I've just about fallen in love with it ^^ I can't believe how well it turned out. None of my work has turned out as amazing as this! Especially the background! ^_^ Please comment! I'd be sooooo grateful!
